Spring Sight-reading Party 2015 by Emily Brown

The Spring Sight-reading party took place early this past spring quarter on Sunday, April 5th. Members of the CMO board started preparing early, getting suitcases full of chamber music!

Chamber musicians began arriving around 3:00 at the Logan Penthouse. Once signed in, participants were able to look over an array of pieces. The beginning of the fun is finding a piece that works with your instrument and some combination of the others that have shown up! Once a piece was selected and an ensemble formed, the groups took their instruments to either the Logan Penthouse, the several practice rooms we reserved for the afternoon, nooks, crannies, even hallways! After some amount of time, the ensembles were told it was time to pick a new piece and a new ensemble. Then everyone returned together and reshuffled. Here are some pictures from the event. Hope to see you next time!
