Q: Do I need to participate in a chamber ensemble to attend CMO events?

A: Nope! CMO events are open to everyone and anyone interested.

Q: What's the difference between the Chamber Music Program (CMP) and the Chamber Music Organization (CMO)?

A: CMP and CMO are two linked organizations dedicated to promoting chamber music on campus. The CMP, directed by faculty member Amy Briggs, hosts auditions, repertoire classes, and coachings. The CMO, directed by students, hosts showcases, sight-reading parties, concert trips, movie nights, and more! Be sure to sign up for both listhosts for all the latest chamber music info!

Q: How can I sign up for auditions/get placed into a chamber ensemble?

A: CMP will be hosting auditions the weekend of October 3-4. Signup on the 8th floor of the Logan Center or contact Amy Briggs at amylbd@gmail.com. Email the CMO at chambermusicorganization@gmail.com for placement concerns during the year!

Q: What is the time commitment for participation in a chamber ensemble?

A: That is completely up to you and your ensemble members! Some ensembles rehearse once a week, some rehearse three times a week, and some meet daily! You do what’s right for you.

Q: Do I need to participate in a chamber ensemble to attend CMO events?

A: You do not not not not not not.
