Damn we’ve done so many of these I can’t tell them apart. Winter Showcase was fun and huge because everyone was hiding from the weather outside. We filled the entire penthouse and ran out of chairs, even though we set somewhere around 100. And then we were nearing the Logan Penthouse fire hazard, and I felt pretty proud of that. To kick off the show, I made a corny joke about the weather, I think, and then somebody told me to get off the microphone.

While all the Econ majors at UChicago donned their business formal clothes (even though the dress code is business casual) for the Winter Career Fair, CMO board members were getting ready for the Winter Sight-reading Party.

On December 3rd, CMO had a movie screening, showing “The Sound of Music.” Because it was held during the reading period and had a short gap from the last CMO event of the quarter, we didn’t expect much people to show up to the event.

On the Tuesday of tenth week, many a battered students migrated to the 8th floor of logan to partake in a study break held by the CMO only to discover a room full of students studying furiously. Yes. Turns out the event was named in a rather misleading manner.

In March, the CMO had it's first ever movie screening! We showed Oscar award winning (or was it just nominated? either way, it was supposed to be good) "Whiplash."

It was a cold and stormy and snowy afternoon. The winds ravaged the Midway Plaisance, threatening to bury buildings and topple warriors soldiering to yet another Sunday battle at the Reg. The Spring Showcase on May 1st, 2015 featured eight groups of musicians in what turned out to be an “uplifting” (quote: anonymous survey respondent, 2015) concert experience in the Logan Penthouse.

The Spring Sight-reading party took place early this past spring quarter on Sunday, April 5th. Members of the CMO board started preparing early, getting suitcases full of chamber music!
